My upward<BR/>communication was excellent as was my interaction with volunteers. The paid<BR/>executive staff reporting to me worked as few hours as possible without commitment<BR/>to the goals. They continued to produce less and less after I retired. This was<BR/>discouraging because the staff seemed competent enough for the job plus the<BR/>organization's resources were extraordinary.
